Due to COVID-19, the shelter is currently open by appointment only. Please be patient as our limited animal care staff do their best to work through the high volume of applications we are receiving. Meet Lester!

Lester came in as a stray that was never claimed. He looked a bit worse for wear, like he had been on his own for quite some time. We treated him for an eye infection, he does still have some discoloration but it does not seem to bother him one bit. Lester is FIV+ so will need to be kept strictly as an indoor kitty, as it is contagious to other cats. Cats with FIV can still live long, normal lives, but (like with all cats) we recommend regular vet check ups to be sure everything is tip top.
Lester is a bit on the shy side, we aren’t sure if he has ever known a loving home. He does welcome some gentle petting but can sometimes get a little overwhelmed and will give a little hiss, so we think he would do best in a home without little kids. He will need a home without any other cats, unless they are also FIV+, but may be ok with a quiet, respectful dog.
