Paul, his wife Connie and her Siberian Husky, Yanook, hiked many of the valleys and tramped to numerous summits in the Whites. "Nook" even rode Cranmore's Skimobile and the gondolas at Wildcat. He was the last of a long string of dogs, cats and ducks that the pair have cared for and enjoyed life with. These days Sam, Ivan, Oreo and Eidleweiss (two dogs and two cats) are frequent "houseguests" when family arrives for regular visits in the North Country.

Paul retired from a career in Management Services as a Vice President of Corporate Communication. He and Connie continue to hike, ski, bike and paddle as well as contribute many volunteer hours for social, business, religious and sporting activities in the community.
