Welcome to Our Volunteer Program!
Volunteering at the Conway Area Humane Society is fun and it improves the lives of the animals in our care. If you have some time to give and you want to help animals – we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! CAHS is committed to providing each volunteer with a rewarding and productive experience. Thank you for thinking about joining our volunteer team.
There are a wide range of volunteer positions ranging from direct animal care to administration to events and fundraising. All volunteers should expect to work with CAHS staff, other volunteers and members of the public as well as animals. We work carefully to match your skills and interests with the needs of the shelter.
The First Step
The first step in becoming a volunteer is to view & print our Volunteer Handbook/Application. You can return it to us by US Mail

You will be contacted (via email or phone) after your application has been received and reviewed. Once you have been contacted, you may then attend a New Volunteer Orientation. After that you will be required to attend a New Volunteer Training Workshop before your first volunteer shift. Please understand that we may not have a position for every applicant.
We do require at least a three month time commitment so that we can make the most of your time and the training we will give you. You must be at least 12 years old to volunteer as a Junior Volunteer, 16 years old to volunteer without a parent/guardian. If you are 11 or younger, you may become a volunteer in our Fuzzy Tails Reading Club. Please have your parent call our Volunteer Coordinator at 603.447.5955.
