As Luck would have it….

Lucky for Nina and for Lucky that they found each other. “I just came to drop off some things for the shelter, I am not really looking for a dog,” Nina Perry, editor of the Mountain Ear said when she visited ARL North last Tuesday afternoon. But she decided to meet a few dogs while she was there.
Lucky, a Dachshund crossed with a Golden Retriever had been at the shelter a few weeks after coming to ARL North by way of a transport from Louisiana. Lucky’s and Nina’s eyes met, and the rest was history. They visited, took a walk together, and Nina took Lucky back to the office and then home for an overnight to spend time with the family. The next morning I received the following greeting from her via phone call: “I’m in love, Lucky hasn’t left my side.” That’s when you know you have a perfect match. All of us here at ARL North say a “big congratulations” to Lucky and Nina and her family, you are all lucky and so are we.
