Ace
Ace came to ARL North after being rescued by a local veterinarian. This kind and happy little dog was emaciated and appeared to be starving to death. Dr. Kramer, our shelter veterinarian worked with the dog staff to come up with a diet that would put weight back on him, but getting him to eat was a challenge. One morning he greeted us, tail wagging and eager for attention, yet at the same time stumbling and falling over from weakness. He spent many days at the Veterinary hospital on fluids and under close observation as they desperately tried to get him to eat. He was diagnosed with irritable bowel disorder. He slowly began to improve, and is now staying with Dr. Kramer, eating, gaining weight, and improving every day. His ribs no longer show through his beautiful red coat. He will soon be available for adoption.
If you would like to help Ace, and others like him, please consider a donation to the Dancer/Dozer medical fund. All money donated will go to pay the medical bills of deserving animals with extreme medical expenses. Please contact the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire - North at (603) 447-5605 for more information, or mail donations to: ARL North, PO Box 260, Conway, NH 03818.
