Animal Rescue League of NH Announces New President & CEO
Bedford & Conway, NH – The Animal Rescue League of NH is pleased to announce that Rebecca Justice has been appointed the new President & CEO of the Animal Rescue League of NH and the Animal Rescue League of NH - North (formerly the Conway Area Humane Society).
The two shelters affiliated in late 2009 and have made tremendous progress in assisting both the southern and northern areas of the state with animal overpopulation issues, adoption promotion, animal cruelty investigations and humane education. Combined, the two shelters serve more than 3,000 animals each year.
“This is an exciting time for both the ARLNH in Bedford and the ARLNH North in Conway,” said Justice. “Both organizations have incredible potential which includes passionate and dedicated boards, staff, volunteers and supporters. I am delighted to be on board!”

Tuxes and Tails auction raises record-breaking $43,000 for the animals
The evening of Saturday, November 13 marked the 2nd Annual Tuxes and Tails Dinner and Auction to benefit the animals of the Animal Rescue League of NH-North. The event was held once again at the Wentworth Resort in lovely Jackson Village. Over 130 animal lovers came out for the evening in their formal and semi-formal attire. The bidding was lively and exciting with winners acquiring such amazing items as the opportunity to have their dog immortalized in author Lisa Gardner’s 2012 mystery novel, trips to exotic places including California Wine Country, Costa Rica and South Africa, a personal tour of Boston’s North End by a Boston chef, a Mount Washington Observatory winter overnight EduTrip, tickets to the American Ballet Theatre in New York City and many more amazing items and experiences

Conway Animal Shelter volunteer donates Pet Oxygen Masks to Madison Fire and Rescue
Madison Fire and Rescue in Madison, NH now has two sets of Pet Oxygen Masks (POM) thanks to Animal Rescue League of NH-North volunteer and Silver Lake resident Charlotte Emmel. She heard about the POM project happening in Maine on the radio and decided she wanted her neighborhood fire department to have the masks on their rescue vehicles. “She contacted me in August and we started talking about the idea” said Madison Fire Chief Rick Judkins. “We have been working on the project since then, and now we are equipped with two sets that include a small, medium and large mask in each set.”
