2009 Walk for the Animals and Bark in the Park Pet Expo - THE BARK HEARD AROUND THE WORLD!
Saturday, September 26, 2009

Come one dog and all dogs (and their people, too) to the 12th Annual Walk for the Animals and Bark in the Park Pet Expo in Schouler Park in North Conway Village. Start collecting your pledges now to help the animals in the care of the Conway Area Humane Society.
The Walk for the Animals registration will will take place Saturday morning in Schouler Park at 8:30, followed by the Blessing of the Animals at 9:15 with the walk commencing at 9:30 am. After the 45 minute walk through Whitaker Woods or a climb to "paws on top" (see below) everyone gathers in the park for the Awards Ceremony and the festivities of the Bark in the Park Pet Expo. Top individual donors and teams will win incredible prizes (list coming soon).
Early registration for the Walk for the Animals will take place on Friday evening, September 25, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Four Your Paws Only at their new location on White Mt. Highway in North Conway.
Registration for the Walk for Animals is a minimum of $30 and will include a goodie bag. Pledges of $50 or more will receive a special t-shirt and a goodie bag.
New this year! Paws on Top! If you would rather hike with your pet instead of doing the walk, we will offer a short guided hike up a nearby mountain.
Remember, you do not have to walk or hike with an animal to take part in the event, you can walk in honor of or in memory of an animal. So start collecting pledges now! Download a form below.
This year's Bark will feature vendors of pet-related items, demos, a dog show (with some new events), carnival games, the animal communicator, face painting and more.
