The Conway Area Humane Society (CAHS) welcomes a new Animal Shelter Operations Director Lauren Richards to CAHS. Richards has 14 years experience in animal sheltering, and was previously the Operations Director of The NH Humane Society in Laconia, NH. Departing CAHS Operations Director Debra Cameron has relocated to Massachusetts. Cameron came on board in 2014, and in her time with CAHS was responsible for many positive changes to policy and animal care. She will be greatly missed by CAHS staff, volunteers and the Board of Directors at CAHS, as well as many members of the community who worked with her.
“Debra’s work here at CAHS helped bring our little shelter that could to a new level, and with Lauren on board our services to the animals and residents of our community will continue to grow,” stated CAHS Executive Director Virginia Moore. “We wish Debra the best and will keep in close touch with her for years to come”
The shelter has just recently completed a build-out of a 4700 square ft. space that houses administrative offices, a large dog enrichment room, a conference room and a very large upscale resale shop called ReTails that opened Saturday, October 6, 2018. All are welcome to come see the new space and meet Lauren.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be Thursday, October 18 at 4:30 pm at the Conway shelter, 223 E. Main St., Conway, NH. For more information please contract Virginia Moore at (603) 447-5955 or [email protected].
